Kate has a unique background having worked for 8 years as an insurance underwriter for FTSE 100 firms before moving into financial consulting in 2003. This combination enables her to fully evaluate all aspects of risk and has a particular interest in wealth management and asset protection. Kate set up IFC in 2007 and set herself apart from the industry norm by always charging fees rather than taking commission. “I consider commission unethical and I am simply not a salesperson. The vast majority of my clients come to me having been referred by existing clients, knowing my reputation for straight forward, logical advice. I thrive on developing relationships with clients to help with their financial and life aspirations”.

Kate was the Chairperson of the End2End Mountain Bike Challenge for several years and still runs the charitable side of that organisation, End2End Legacy, which works to build and support community developments on the Isle of Man. Kate and the family are often found early on a Saturday morning trail building with a team of other volunteers who over the last 3 years have built 3 complete mountain bike trails roughly 4km long!
